I am grounded!

I don't know about you, but I'm finding that creating some sort of routine and regular things to do for myself that are the same every week are really helping me in this time of uncertainty.

It's definitely helping to keep me grounded and feel some sort of normality in this ever changing situation.

How about you? Are you able to keep yourself feeling grounded at the moment?

Yoga can help us find this sense of feeling grounded.

The routine of it, but also when we practice yoga, feeling the areas of our bodies that are touching the mat gives us that sense of grounding.

Your fingers, hands, toes, feet, back, back of the head, back of the legs, front of the legs and so on.

Bringing our attention to that specific place where it is connecting with the mat and feeling that connection with the earth helps us feel grounded.

So next time you feel a bit out of sorts, practice yoga with your focus on this grounding.

Even lying down on the mat in Savasana and bringing your awareness to these points of contact with the mat, you will feel it.

It will give you a real sense of certainty, strength, that connection with the earth and something bigger and that you are right where you need to be...feeling at one with the earth, grounded and that everything will be ok.

There's a great grounding quote which I love and a great one to repeat to yourself.

REPEAT AFTER ME...

"My spirit is grounded deep in the earth

I am calm, strong, centrered and peaceful.

I am able to let go of fear and trust that I am eternally safe."
